Three Cords Strong
Pastoral Counseling

My Background
Catherine Dexter, MA
Pastoral Counselor and Certified Mental Health Coach
My academic journey began with an AA in Psychology, followed by a BA in Biblical & Theological Studies, and a MA in Pastoral Counseling from Regent University. I felt led to continue my education and earned a MA in Integrative Theology from the London School of Theology. In addition, I am a certified Mental Health Coach through Light University in conjunction with the American Association of Christian Counselors.
As a Pastoral Counselor and long time resident of Maryland, I am currently serving in the Chaplaincy program at Calvert Memorial Hospital and at the Calvert County Detention Center. I have helped many people get through difficult times by providing a safe and compassionate space to talk about their struggles. I combine my professional training in counseling with my deep faith in Christ to offer tailored support and encouragement to each of my clients.

My Approach
Counseling sessions are designed to help you deepen your relationship with God and find the inner peace and strength you need to overcome life's challenges. As your counselor, I will provide you with practical tools and insights to help you grow in your faith and achieve your personal goals. Personalized plans will be developed during sessions and will often incorporate practices like prayer, Scripture reading, and journaling, and are always designed with the individual in mind. Whether you're struggling with grief, anxiety, depression, or any other emotional or spiritual challenge, my goal is to support you on your journey towards healing and spiritual growth. Let's walk this journey together with God as our strength!
